Hey there!

My name is Natalie Malia Figuracion and I’m a 25-year-old queer, non-binary, Filipino-American actor and theatre artist. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, I’m now based in Brooklyn, New York. I hold a BFA in Contemporary Theater from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I underwent ensemble-based training with an emphasis on devising.

Growing up in Hawai’i, I was immersed in a supportive and creative community that nurtured my love for the arts from a young age. I performed throughout my school years and found a second home at Ohana Arts, a close-knit youth theatre company. As I got older, I stepped into leadership roles, serving as an artistic fellow, assistant music director, and facilitator for group activities. These experiences—along with my upbringing in Hawai’i’s rich, multicultural environment—have profoundly shaped me as both an artist and a person. I believe in the power of theatre as a space for young people to explore, learn, and express themselves, and it’s deeply meaningful to me to help ignite that same passion in others.

I am a strong advocate for marginalized and oppressed communities, and I’m especially drawn to new works—whether plays, devised pieces, or new media—that amplify underrepresented voices or tackle urgent social and global issues. I also have a specific interest in physical and experimental theatre that challenges conventions, redefines storytelling, and innovates through bold design and performance choices.

At my core, I am always learning, always growing, and always eager to collaborate! I want to create work that is thought-provoking, boundary-breaking, and deeply human.

“Art is beautiful. Art is radical. And art has the power to inspire.”
